Principal Hydrogeologist

Jim has over 45 years of hydrogeologic consulting experience.  After graduating from The Pennsylvania State University in 1975 with a M.S. in Geology, specializing in hydrogeology, he began working as a hydrogeologic consultant in 1976.  He began working with Meiser & Earl, Inc. in 1984 and became a licensed Professional Geologist in 1994.  He has been the Secretary/Treasurer and Principal Hydrogeologist at Meiser & Earl, Inc. since 2001 and served on the Board of Directors from 1998 to 2017.  He has completed numerous projects throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states.  He is responsible for preparing proposals, meeting with clients and regulatory personnel, managing projects, supervising geologists, and completing hydrogeologic reports and permit applications for submittal to the Susquehanna River Basin Commission and/or Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.  

Jim’s major areas of project experience include:  water-supply development, waste disposal site development, coal and non-coal mine site development, soil and groundwater contamination, and hydrogeologic evaluations for land development. In his years of experience he has been involved in all phases of these projects.
